Red Stag Water Buffalo Blackbuck Antelope Fallow Deer

The Lodge is situated in the valley of Calamuchita, 88 miles far from Córdoba International Airport.

 

It is a 3hour drive from the airport. The last 20 minutes is upwards in the mountains and 4x4 wheels vehicles are needed. Accommodations are an amazing Argentine Ranch with private rooms and bath. 

There are direct daily flights from many U.S. cities to Santiago de Chile airport in Chile or Ezeiza Airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with connecting flights to Cordoba city. You will also find flight connections to Cordoba through Panama with COPA Airlines or through Lima with LAN; but their schedules are not quite comfortable. The connecting flight through Santiago or Buenos Aires will allow you to be shooting at midday on your arrival day. This option offers the best logistics for your trip.

Argentina is known for its remoteness and abundance of red stag, blackbuck and water buffalo. Other species: Water Buffalo, Fallow Deer, Axis Deer, Blackbuck Antelope, Multi-horn sheep, Scottish Blackface sheep, Mouflon sheep, wild Pampa Mouflon, Texas Dall Ram, Wild boar.

The Lodge

The house is located at the heart of the hunting Ranch and it offers a world class accommodation. The house has private, spacious and warm rooms with a magnificent view. They are fully equipped with king size beds, private bathrooms and Jacuzzis. There is a living room with a big cozy fireplace. Available for all our guests there is also a firearm room, reading room and playing room. Overnight bar equipped with a broad range of beverages. Satellite T.V

Cuisine

Delicious dishes prepared by our international chef. Specialty of the house: wild meat dishes from our daily hunts. Traditional ASADO ARGENTINO (BBQ). Wine cellar with the best Argentine red and white wines. You will have the pleasure of tasting different grapes and brands; and of enjoying a personalized explanation of each different wine. Special dishes are prepared on request for dietary or health reasons. You’ll be treated to fine wines and gourmet Argentina cuisine.

Gear and Equipment

Hunting clothes should be light green, green or brown; camouflage will be the best option.

Suggested clothing list:

1 pair sturdy walking boots, preferably with heels   

1 warm windproof jacket    

1 shower proof jacket    

1 sweater

2 hunting shirts    

2 pair Waterproof, warm parka and pants.    

1 hat    

1 pair gloves    

3 pair hunting socks    

Swimmers for hot tub    

May/June/July please also include thermal underwear. Long john first layer.

Please remember that excess baggage can be expensive and is difficult to travel with so don't over pack! We have a full laundry service available daily at our lodge, so you will not need different clothes for every day. 

SHOOTING GLOVES: Sensitive leather gloves could help or any other hunting glove just in case is cold in the mornings.

LIGHTWEIGHT HAT: One with a wide brim is best and camouflage.

SOFT PROTECTIVE GUN CASE FOR DAILY USE: This is optional, we can provide you with one.

SMALL FIELD BAG: To carry camera gear and other personal items into the field.

CAMERA: The area is scenic and photographic possibilities abound. We also offer a private service by a professional photographer.

INSECT REPELLENT: Especially for our late summer season. Mosquitoes or other bothersome insects are very unusual in the field - you might take a small bottle of Cutter's Cream.

EVENING DRESS: Clothing is casual. Slacks and sport shirts are all you need.

When connections are through Buenos Aires (Argentina) you arrive to Ministro Pistarini Airport in Ezeiza and have to change airport to Aeroparque. It is like 40 minutes in between airports and like 80 minutes in rush hours. We will organize your ground transportation in Buenos Aires to make it hassle free.- There is great connections to Buenos Aires from Miami, Dallas, Houston or Atlanta.

When conntections are through Santiago (Chile) the connection will be at the same airport. The positive thing about Santiago is that you can sleep all night with out a connection. The negative issue is that if you get dealy there is only 1 or 2 flights a day to Cordoba.

When conntections are through Lima (Peru) and Panama city (Panama) you will have to make connections in the evening and you will be arriving early in the morning and departure will be after midnight. It is Poistive that there is good rates on this flights.

Consider also private charters from Buenos Aires to Cordoba. We will be please to send you further info and budgets.

From Cordoba airport to The Lodge it is 3 hours drive.
